Why “buzz” is not the whole answer

“Buzz” is how English writes it down, and every language writes it differently — which tells you the spelling is about the language, not about the bee.

A small child learning the word does not need the spelling. They need the sound and the thing together, more than once, and looking slightly different each time — so that the word attaches to bees rather than to one picture of one bee.
